Another major player comes to the plate to bat for the Seito team

Episode Title: Encounter with the Crouching Dragon
Episode 6 starts with Kan-unchou (everyone’s favorite battle vixen) having an argument with Sensei regarding the recruitment of Shokatsuryou Koumei as advisor for Gentoku. Kan-unchou is vehemently against her for some reason, so she decides to go to Tougen Abbey to sniff Koumei out. When Gentoku finds out where Kan-unchou went, she decides to follow, dragging the reluctant Chou-san with her.
Kan-unchou has a fight with the err mushroom man who uses some kind of poison (the kind you inhale) to paralyze Kanu. But just before Kanu loses consciousness she gives mushroom man a big whallop on that elongated head of his!
Chou-san meanwhile fights it out with a baldy monk and tells Gentoku to run away. Gentoku finds herself at the edge of a lake where she finds a little girl fishing for a dragon! The little girl loses her fight with the dragon and falls into the lake. The normally hydrophobic Gentoku dives or rather drowns in to save the little girl and when she regains consciousness, she and the little girl are now safe (albeit drenched) on the shore.
All three of the Seito trio are reunited at the temple wherein mushroom man introduces the little girl as Koumei. As fanservice,the viewers get to see Gentoku and Koumei take a bath.
Kou-chan looks awfully cute sleeping in the tub….waaaah the show has made me into a perverted lolicon!! T_T
Overall, no major fighting happened in this anime, but it is somewhat heavily hinted that Kan-unchou might have more than friendly feelings towards Gentoku. As if this series needed more fanservice without adding the yuri slant. But then again this season is relatively much milder compared to the first season . I said it once and I’ll say it again, this series could definitely survive even without the extra extra fanservice added in. The animation is great, the fights are spectacular and the characters are really fleshed out (double entendre) Can’t wait for the inevitable showdown between Sousou and the other 2 dragon bearing Toushis!
